Sanford Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician to work with Sanford’s neurovascular team, which includes: two neurosurgeons, two neurologists, and three APPs.

· Expected schedule is Monday-Friday with one weekend of rounding per month (not call).

· This position is 60% clinic and 40% hospital.

· Graduation from an accredited program and current certification is required. Experience is not required.

· Excellent compensation, relocation allowance and benefits.

Assists physicians in providing medical care to assigned patients. Planning and implementing physical examinations, interventions, and evaluating patient response according to instructions of the attending physician. Providing preventive health measures and medical care to assigned patients within prescribed guidelines as well as ordering medical supplies and equipment. Recording, interpreting and evaluating physical findings, identifying patient's health care needs, and participating in formulating plan and prognosis based on patient's condition. Making house calls, going to health clinics or nursing homes to check on the rehabilitation conditions of assigned patients, and reporting back to the attending physician.


Must have successfully completed the certifying examination of the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistant. Must hold licensure/registration as required in the state of practice. DEA certification may be required depending on service area role. Must be credentialed by Sanford Health System and Sanford Hospital as appropriate. Must be a graduate from a physician assistant training program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Experience requirement may vary depending on service area or role. Must have critical thinking and organizational skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to build effective working relationships and use tact, discretion and diplomacy when working with others. Must be able to stay calm and focused in environment of multiple demands and use good judgment in emergency situations. Must have computer skills.
