Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. The F-M Ambulance/Sanford AirMed intern will be part of a team that works to cultivate and maintain relationships within our community. The intern will be responsible for assisting with outreach and communications through public relations, marketing, teaching, event planning, and customer service. The intern will gain knowledge of communication and marketing tools used in both the air ambulance and ground ambulance industry. Intern responsibilities include: Assistance in FMA's social media presence and engagement by drafting and editing posts and monitoring performance analytics, coordination and presentation of the Buckle Up with Bucky program to children throughout Cass and Clay counties. The intern will provide assistance in writing the FMA quarterly newsletter and a quarterly EMS enterprise flyer. The intern will also help positively represent FMA and AirMed within our community, provide assistance to the Outreach Development Specialist to improve AirMed's relationships and educate others to ensure safety and appropriate utilization of AirMed's resources. Our intern will assist in event planning and organizing activities, and may be asked to help with specific projects that are needed from the leadership teams. Our intern will complete other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to be hard-working, self-motivated and reliable. The position is expected to lead and manage projects in a timely manner and have the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. The successful applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Health Communications, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field, or an immediate graduate having received one of the previously listed majors. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship, ranging from 20-32 hours a week.
Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
